The Paducah Fire Prevention Division will host an informational meeting on Tuesday, March 10 for contractors who provide mowing and debris removal services. The City of Paducah hires contractors to abate properties with code violations, that have not been addressed by the property owner, related to high grass, rubbish, or debris.
The informational meeting will be held March 10 at 9 a.m. in the City Commission Chambers at City Hall, 300 South 5th Street.
Topics will include contractor requirements, pricing per lot, the process for documenting completed work, and invoicing and billing procedures.
To be considered for hire by the City of Paducah, contractors must meet the following requirements:
- Provide their own equipment.
- Maintain liability insurance coverage of at least $1,000,000.
- Hold a City of Paducah business license.
All qualified contractors will be placed on a rotating list to provide services as needed.
