Community Invited to Financial Wellness Workshop on January 15

Date of Release:
January 12, 2026

The Paducah Planning Department, in partnership with Operation HOPE, invites community members to attend a Financial Wellness Workshop on Thursday, January 15, 2026, at 6 p.m. The event will be held at the CFSB Community Room, located at 2550 Irvin Cobb Drive. Admission is free, and no pre-registration is required.

This workshop supports the Southside Revitalization Plan, adopted by the Paducah Board of Commissioners in August 2025. The plan outlines immediate-impact steps to strengthen Southside neighborhoods including community engagement and educational initiatives that promote financial empowerment and stability.

The session will cover essential topics such as the path to homeownership, understanding and improving credit, and developing strong financial management skills.

“We invite everyone to join us for this free Financial Wellness Workshop – no matter where you live,” said Planning Director Carol Gault. “Participants will leave the workshop with valuable tips and strategies to enhance financial well-being and boost credit scores. Our goal is to help individuals build confidence, make informed financial decisions, and take meaningful steps toward a more secure and prosperous future.”

The Planning Department is coordinating with Operation HOPE to offer quarterly workshops throughout the year, continuing the city’s commitment to supporting residents through education and opportunity.
