The contractor responsible for the construction of the Noble Park Pickleball Courts, PCC Sports, will close the courts on Monday, September 11 through Wednesday, September 13 to complete the final construction elements. This eight-court facility is located in Noble Park across from the tennis courts.
During the temporary closure, crews will be touching up the playing surfaces along with pouring concrete footers and installing the shade canopies.
Also, a crosswalk will be added on the roadway between the courts and the restroom facility adjacent to the tennis courts. The painting of the crosswalk will begin Tuesday, September 12 which will require the closure of the park’s outer roadway in that area for a few hours. The tennis courts will be accessible by foot traffic only during the crosswalk installation.
Earlier this year, the City approved a contract with PCC Sports to construct the courts with amenities including fencing, lighting, shade structures, benches, and sidewalks. A ribbon cutting ceremony was held September 1.
